Hide Stock Quantity

If your stock quantity is showing in the product page detail layout and you want to hide it:

Go to Shopping Cart > Setup > Product View Options

Then on the list of options find 'Availablity Format' and change the dropdown from 'Out of Stock' to 'No Quantity Displayed'
